MB: One of the good things for bands on a Friday night is more space to dance, and what a couple of sets for dancing to including The Beatles, The Foundations, The Zombies, Stealers Wheel, Fleetwood Mac, Coors, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas and a super Chuck Berry medley to conclude a great night.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF BLUES...It used to be Rhythm n Blues was a blistering Mick Green guitar solo, a manic Wilko walk, or an angry Bill Carter rant. And thats where PRoM enter stage right, shakin' all over in the wild blue yonder, doin it right.

MB: PROM's first-ever appearance at The Kings and fully apreciated by the regulars with tight musicianship and vocals featuring a number of their own songs, a first-ever cover of Redbone's "The Witch Queen Of New Orleans", plus superb sound engineering from Balding Bloke.

MB: I only caught the second set, as usual, good musicianship, vocals and harmonies, several popular covers and also some less well-known however well-performed and complemented by a good sound from Balding Bloke. Nice to see a young band enjoying themselves.

Saturday 25th July 2015 : Complete Control are a punk era covers' band playing all the sub-culture classics from the mid 70s onwards, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Damned, Buzzcocks, Skids, The Ruts, The Undertones and many more.

MB: This week we had a two set punkfest out of the top drawer with great sound engineering, spot on sound levels with superb instrumentals and vocals. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all with the only disappointment being no encores!

Saturday 6th June 2014 : D.O.G. are a rock band in the classic British tradition, playing classics and originals. The gigs are about having a good time. The album "Year Of The Dog" is the culmination of several years of hard work and dedicated song writing bringing together a wide ranging set of influences to form a wholly original rock sound.

MB: Good song choices, good instrumentals and good vocals HOWEVER the lead vocals were insanely loud, people were walking out of the bar they were so loud, this was not only my opinion, several people commented about it.

MB: This band has always been one of my favourites and this performance proved how privileged we are to have such competent and entertaining musicians visiting The Kings, simply superb with a great sound served up by Balding Bloke.
