About The Kings
The King’s Head Hotel in Louth is a traditional coaching inn with an emphasis on quality live music every weekend. The superb in-house sound system competently used by our resident sound engineer will ensure your band is heard at it very best…he also does special DJ functions for weddings, birthday parties or anything else you may feel like celebrating.
The Kings is currently undergoing a massive top-to-bottom renovation with a projected completion date of late summer/early autumn 2009.
Update 27th August 2009
The renovation is gathering apace now, the entire enormous roof has been completely replaced and the scaffolding has been removed from the hotel’s facade revealing it’s new cream and black paintwork. A special mention must be noted for the new King’s sign, check it out and watch those following eyes!

We are BROADSWORD and we come from Grimsby UK. We’re a lively jiggy folk-rock trio with the accent on fun and entertainment using mandolin, banjo, guitar, and percussionary delights including a washboard too! Playing a mix of classic Irish jiggy stuff through to classic rock from the likes of Pogues, REM, Waterboys, Flogging Molly, Steve Earle, Cheiftains, Saw Doctors, Levellers, Eagles, Thin Lizzy, Tom Jones, Rolling Stones, and even Queen!

Have also played weddings, corporate occasions (Conoco), parties, galas and festivals. Please note we can play totally acoustic or through a P.A system - whichever is preferable to the individual venue.
