Lacklustre Klout

Oh dear, what can I write? Quite simply a few years ago Klout’s sound engineering was non-existent, along came Balding Bloke and he made them into a band who were a pleasure to listen to and watch and were very popular. On Saturday night they refused BB’s offer to do their sound and they ended up back where they were a few years ago!

For those who thought they sounded good you MUST have been in the mosh pit since once one went past the first pillar, about a third of the way down the bar from the stage, the sound was very muffled, the drums were fairly good HOWEVER where the heck was everything else? Occasionaly the bass guitar could be heard and that was it apart from Kev’s vocals which sounded a bit strained at times.

Let’s have no excuses Klout, this was a very poor sound performance, we all know you can sound much, much better than this, don’t let yourself down again.

A group of us were sat near the window about as far from the stage as you can get and thought they still sounded as good as always. The pub was pretty quiet when we got there but once klout came on it got a lot busier and was full for the duration so i think that alone proves you wrong no more needs to be said…

Of course you are entitled to your own opinion however there were more than just a few who commented the difference that their own sound engineering had made. Quite simply they did not sound anywhere near as good as they have in the Kings in the past, it was not up to their usual standard at all.

Try this Saturday night with the League of Mentlemen and then you will see the huge difference in sound, and no, BB will not be doing it so don’t think I’m playing any favouritism game here.

Correction to my post, BB will be doing the sound for both Cappuccino and League of Gentlemen this coming weekend.

Many thanks to everyone who turned up on Saturday. It was great to see so many people there and we certainly enjoyed the night as much as the crowd seemed to. Don’t forget we’re playing two dates at the Town hall on the 19th November (Colin Blades Memorial) and 25th November (Lions) with The What and The Rumbleband respectively. Two great bands for the price of one (or at least one great band and one lacklustre one). Hope to see you there. Gareth,Klout.

I’m glad to see the ‘correction’ here……………I started to panic a bit.
BB will always get a quality sound no matter how rubbish (or well) we play on the night.
Last time we played he had to oversee a party upstairs & STILL did us proud.
    Cheers for that John :)
